CONWAY — Despite losing two assistant coaches to the NFL in recent weeks in the midst of the program’s final recruiting push, Coastal Carolina football coach Joe Moglia is not worried about that having any impact when the Chanticleers announce their incoming freshman class next Wednesday during National Signing Day.

A week after the Chants formally announced that linebackers coach Doug Colman had taken a job with the Houston Texans, running backs coach Brock Olivo confirmed Thursday that he had accepted a position with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The most interesting quote came from Moglia:
“We really almost never invite [a recruit] to come in without his family, and when his family’s there we are always asked, ‘Coach, how long are you going to be there?’” Moglia said Friday. “I tell them ... ‘I am going to do everything I can to help your son get to where they need to in life.’ I feel the exact same way about my staff. It’s our guys’ job to make sure they’re doing the right thing long-term for them and their family, and if they get an opportunity that’s significant, I will encourage them to do that.

“So I tell our recruits to come to Coastal because you believe Coastal is the right spot for you, and there may very well be a change at some point in the coaching staff, but that will be for the right reasons.”

That is the perfect answer. And EVERY coach in EVERY sport gets it these days. And rightfully so.
