Actually CCU is leading 27-10 in the 3rd. Very sparse crowd for the seachickens.

I wonder if opinion about the Big South is slowly changing after last year's FCS tourney games, this year's OOC play and Coastal's showing today.

Perhaps a bit. But most look at today's score as simply validation that a second MEAC team had no business being in the playoffs.

Some lopsided scores today in FCS-land.

There are teams that have made/will make the jump without making the playoffs:
Georgia State
Charlotte

Make that 35-14 Coastal with less than a minute to go before the half.

Anybody else shocked by this like I am? Maybe they are better than I realized. Makes the Big South look better which is always a good thing

WOW!!!! CCU kicking some Grizzly butt in Montana, didn't see this coming. The Beachchickens have played a perfect first half. Defense has really stepped up, Montana playing very poor offense so far.

Final Score:
Coastal 42
Montana 35
Montana scored 14 points in the 4th quarter, but it was too little, too late.
Is anybody else enraged by this? I see this as we have a playoff winning caliber team sitting on their butts watching this because we can't close out a game in the final minutes and/or we can't figure out how to schedule to allow for close losses.

You could have copy/pasted this comment for at least 4-5 years by now. It is going to come down to the same thing next year, if we don't win the conference ie. CCU next year, we will be sitting home again. We have to play them on the road and they will be good again next season. We gave them the game this year. Being a LU fan, is not for the faint of heart. We have to learn to close things out. We were 4 plays from being 12-0 this year. If we make just one of those 4 plays we are most likely in the playoffs.
No more moral victories, or shared conference championships.

So you are saying we ALMOST won? The fact is we LOST. Judging by this logic, Chuck South should be mad because they actually BEAT Coastal and some other teams. We couldn't even beat Richmond!

Hater! You know there are those that think we should count our games as 'Almost Wins' instead of Losses!
