Tebow just signed with the Patriots. That seems like a good way to start the summer.

Perfect fit for him.

Yep, Josh McDaniels gets his toy back.

Coach B won't let Tebow-mania become a distraction. He has the type of personality and cred that will lessen the distraction. Plus, he likes to do creative things from time to time on offense. The Pats will use him like the Jets planned on doing. Tebow will fit right into the system in Boston because of his work ethic.

I'm so excited for sports radio tomorrow. Tebow hate vs Billicheck worship. Should be interesting to see which characteristic of the sports media will win.

Don't forget the other side of the coin. Tebowites v Billicheck haters. I may have to tune in to The Herd!

I'm no fan of the Patriots, but I have a lot of respect for this move on their part. And it also makes me excited for the start of the season and Fall in general.

As someone who respects tebow and hates the patriots, I can now have 1 singular reason to cheer for the patriots this year. At least Tim didn't go to the Saints. then I might have had to turn in my tebow fandom to TBGBG

So the billicheck worship won out today. He's a genius! He's the only one who was smart enough to get the guy they all said only an idiot would sign.

I suspect Tebow will be used in a Danny Woodhead/Julian Edelman type role. Probably will get more usage at TE than RB, but will lineup in all sorts of different positions like they did. Things could get really interesting in goal like situations with him as an FB, RB, TE, WR, or Wildcat QB.

They already have a million tight ends. All of which have been playing tight end their entire careers and 2 of which who are among the best in the league. How could he hope to get any PT at TE never having done it before in that situation?

Grok is a question mark with his health issues. I'm sure they got Tebow for about what Wildfire Weekend pai d him, so its a classic low risk high reward. Plus, if the Pats DO win the Super Bowl it just goes to prove that all Tebow does is win games!

Why is everyone acting like it would be so hard to learn the tight end position? You've got basketball players who have never played football becoming the league's best at that spot. It's gotta be the easiest position in football to learn. You need size and good hands. Tebow has the size. Not sure about his hands, but I hear they're magical.

I've read running back is the easiest, but obviously it takes a bit more athletic ability to just throw someone in at that spot on a regular basis. That's why you see so many of the good rookies being RBs many years. If you have all the physical and athletic tools and skills to handle the transition well, you can pretty much just be plugged in to any team's backfield and hold your own. Running back in the NFL is a fairly complexity free position.

But I do imagine TE has to be pretty dang easy. Basically, the same as WR but generally needs less athletic ability, perhaps a bit more toughness than a typical WR, and more beef. As long as you meet the typical physical requirements, if you can block, catch, and run a route you're good to go.

Like you said, don't know if he has the hands, but if he doesn't have the hands to be a regular TE, I imagine he could most certainly excel as a fullback. He obviously knows how to run and if he is tough enough for blocking he could be a Mike Alstott type fullback with his size - Alstott was 6-1, 248; Tebow is 6-3, 236.

Gronk and Hernandez are both injured right now. Gronk seems to be devoid of a brain and may never stop doing stupid things long enough to actually get healthy again.

he'll go to camp and probably be released before the season starts. bill is a nice guy to players and willing to give guys he thinks have been wronged a chance to redeem himself.

all of this TE stuff i feel is speculation. tim tebow has a good vertical but is a little short so its possible to maybe become a TE but most of your real good receiving TE's are at least 6'4.

This is true about the top TEs, but 6'3" is really minimal difference from 6'4". The top five this past season in received yards were all at least 6'5". But Brandon Myers, #6 on the list, is 6'3". Owen Daniels was also top 10 in TE receiving yards and is 6'3".

So with Aaron Hernandez apparently thinking he is a gang member given his recent behavior, and with Gronk having to get surgery every week, Tebow at TE might not be such a bad idea after all

Aaron Hernandez arrested and cut by the Patriots.

A Browns rookie has been charged with first-degree attempted murder, second-degree aggravated assault, and third-degree endangering an injured victim.

Just another day in the life of the great, glorious, and infallible NFL. Or as the media and fans would say if it were the NBA "this just goes to show that the NBA is full of a bunch of thugs, criminals, and gangbangers."

Hernandez charged with first degree murder and five gun-related charges. Sounds like the video and surveillance evidence they have on him is fairly extensive. Appears he will probably want to start getting his affairs in order for a permanent stay in prison.
