the ACC is by far the worst BCS conference year. you have four teams, barring a miracle comeback in their seasons could be making coaching changes in NC State, UNC, Miami, and UVA. FSU has a good defense and very little offense, and i guess the best teams are VT, Clemson, and BC in that order. i seriously doubt they will be able to fill all their bowl slots. i knew the league would be down after a record number of players went in the NFL draft, but this league has a long way to go. The SEC for example, even when they are down, it does not seem that way. this is coming form a huge ACC honk, but it is what it is....bad football.

you're right...the ACC is very weak this year...I am not sure if its weaker then the Big East, thats a tough one, it could go either way, which is sad.....I am a FSU fan and their offense is terrible....there is no running game whatsoever.....pathetic...

the ACC is weaker than the big east. WVA though i have poked fun at them here on the board would wax the ACC's best team this year. maybe the ACC has more depth, but overall i would give the nod to the big east.

you are right about the ACC . What about the Hoos? THey could have a very long year especially when they hit Murder's row late in the year. They just better beat Duke. I just wish Tech would hurry up and play someone to see how good they are.

i have to be honest sly! the question is would you ever say that about the big-12?? the hoos have a pretty good defense, and zero offense, so in turn the D is on the field so long, they get tired and that is that. im glad groh finally decided on one QB, but it will take time.the good news is the ACC is so bad they could still beat MD, NCS or UNC, and with wins over duke and ECU A 6-6 finish would qualify for some toilet bowl. that is my wish. VT?? Well, the D is good as usual, but their O-line is a question, and glennon has not been tested and they are thin at RB. their schedule has hurt them so far.

Didn't Pitt (from the Big East) wax UVA "vaunted Defense". Yes, we can say it...The Big East is better than the ACC this year in football.

i still say its tight between the ACC and Big East...West Virgniia is over rated on this board, Louisville though, that is a team to watch even with all their injuries....I don't know, its a tight one that i would dare say in my mind its up being a close tie....maybe, i don't know

yeah...its a tough call between the big east and ACC which is sad, but you may have 2 top teams in the big east that are better then any ACC school, but there is more depth in the ACC i think...its a tough call

Besides the "top 2" (WVU and Louisville)...Pitt also looks good...Uconn could come around, Rutgers is 4-0 (against weak competition, but still 4-0...and Syracuse doesn't look as bad as they were supposed to be...

I think even in depth, this year the Big East is better...even as a Big East fan, I DON'T think that this will happen very often...it's just a mater of time before Florida State and Miami turn things around...

hey jimflames fan, no one said UVA had a vaunted defense. they are bad this year. pitt is decent, but at best a third-fourth place team in the big east.

the big east is definitly better this year...WVU and Louisville are both teams with top 5 talent
