The Charlotte Hornets?

Apparently the New Orleans Hornets are looking to change their name to the Pelicans. So the question has to be raised, will the Charlotte Bobcats go back to the purple, teal, and Hornets name.
Growing up I was a huge Hornets fan and when they were shipped to New Orleans I and the entire state was heart broken. I can guarantee that if this happens the Charlotte NBA fanbase will skyrocket. People forget that during their heyday Charlotte led the league in attendance 8 out 11 years.
Michael Jordan on the name change:
"It's definitely an interest down the road, but right now it's the New Orleans Hornets," Jordan told the Charlotte Observer. "We would definitely entertain the opportunity. That's as much as we can say right now. We've heard the community ask the question, and we would listen."

That would be obnoxiously confusing. Like when people give you Browns statistics going back to 1950 or whatever when this Browns teams has only been around since '99. I don't care what some judge said or what Clevelanders pretend, it's not the same team.

Charlotte should take back Hornets if offered. It's still close enough that the casual observer upon hearing Hornets think Charlotte first.
Also weren't The Pelicans the name of a team in Semi Pro

As a huge Bobcats fan I would love for the name to be changed back to the Hornets. Those were our glory days!

Tripucka was gone by the time LJ and Zo showed up. Kendall Gill and Dell Curry were there at the time though.
