call me crazy...

I've gotten ripped up and down for this on facebook and twitter over the past few weeks and I'm sure I'll get some of it here too but Am I that weird and off the wall that I could care less what any team in college sports (especially football and Bball) does outside of the two schools in which I hold a degree from? Or where I work? I cheer for Liberty(undergrad) first, Georgia State(masters degree) second and Mercer(my employer) 3rd, and after that I really could care less. Half my family are Wahoos and I like to see them do well but honestly I don't care. does that make me weird?

nope. I'm the same way. I could give 2 craps about anyone but Liberty... with a casual interest in Penn State fb since everyone in this state keeps an eye on them. Other than that... LU only and always. Which is why I've wasted the better part of my late 30's and early 40's on here.
tho now that I think about it... you may not want to align yourself with me. I'm pretty much thought to be certifiable.
so... rock on bro

you kidding? I've been told to work in college football and make it a career you have to be certifiably crazy, I guess we've answered my question haha. Crazies Unite!

What's the A in your avatar stand for then?
I care about what tons of teams do. Mostly basketball, since I'm a basketball junkie.

Then you might want to try to avoid hearing the news that just broke within the half hour on Andrew Bynum

You 'couldn't care less'. If you 'could care less' then that means you actually do care.
Pet Peeve. Carry on. Root for who you want, no big deal.

I follow Liberty sports mainly and Carolina loosely.

I have the teams that I'm a fan of, but I also have an interest in sports in general. So, from that perspective, I enjoy keeping up with who's the best at any given time, the implications for championships, etc. I don't necessarily care who wins and loses, but I do find it all to be worth keeping up with from an entertainment perspective.
Just my $0.02.

Purple giving grammar advice.
Actually, that's why I seldom watch the NFL: once the Colts left Baltimore, I didn't have a team any more.

I'm a fan of Liberty first, then ODU, then Texas Tech...other than that I really don't have a dog in any of the fights people typically do (UNC-Duke, Michigan-Ohio State, etc.)

Same here. Although I do enjoy keeping up with and watching the NFL, I haven't had a team in the fight since the Colts moved. I've tried to pull for the Dolphins but for some reason it just doesn't work.

After decades of frustration as a Bengals fan with the Brown family, I actually adopted the Texans so I could get a clean slate and I couldn't be happier.
I am a Flames fan first & foremost with the Longhorns a VERY distant second (although I am a very supportive husband of my rabid orangeblood).

I grew up in Morgantown, WV, so I follow the Mountaineers. I and my wife both are 2nd-gen LU kids, so I follow the Flames closely. Years ago, I caught the Fab Five craze, and they were my #2 over Liberty, but Jeff Meyer persuaded me one day to move Lu up a spot, and I've never looked back.
Growing up in a college town, I was aware of pro sports teams, but West Virginia doesn't have one. Everyone there follows the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. I have always been a Redskins and Braves fan, but those have always been second to my college teams.
And then I married into a Philly sports fan family from south NJ. Lets just say we have some rivalry - and their fans are CRAZY!

That's where I am with Ohio State. Of course, since my father in law is a tOSU graduate, it's also a matter of survival.
