Louisiana-Monroe? Seriously?

Did anybody else watch the crazy end to the upset of 8th-ranked Arkansas?

The Warhawks have no business being FBS and probably have the poorest program in the nation. But they just took down the mighty Razorbacks. Frankly I find this upset nearly as amazing as the Appalachian State victory in the Big House.

Bobby Petrino is going to be laughing his butt off non-stop for weeks.

UL-Monroe also upset BAMA 5-6 years ago. Tonight, however, the Razorbacks were beset with injuries. Tyler Wilson was having an OK night until he broke his Collar bone (out 4-5 weeks). Several other players also got hurt. Tough break for Arkansas. Perhaps a good break for BAMA. [no joy in other players getting hurt]

I would assume they were already off or he was in the Champaign Room at the Boom Boom Saloon

To me Texas State beating Huston was more impressive.

Not even close. Texas State is legitimate and is a major university with a budget that is probably triple ULM. And UH is in shambles right now. Arkanas was #8 in the nation. #8!

Until you have seen the ULM campus and their atrocious facilities, it is tough to fathom what a David vs. Goliath upset it was on Saturday.

Arkansas did a Michigan and plunged right off the map (last time a team went from top 10 to unranked)

Those kind of Cinderella stories are fun (particularly if you're not an Arkansas fan...=). Quite a gutsy call on 4th down to end the game.

I love it when these smaller schools take down Goliath, even better when an FCS school takes down FBS. Seems like that in particular is happening more and more every year.

Don't look now, but ULM is up 7-0 at Auburn in the 1st quarter. 89 yard TD drive.

14-7 ULM now.

Two horrible defensive plays by ULM in the final 2 minutes puts them down 14-21 at halftime.

I'd love to watch them win, I'm so sick of the SEC

28-21 Auburn with about 4:30 left and ULM gets the ball back on their own 35.

EDIT: Overtime. Auburn 31-28. If ULM had a decent kicker they would have taken it in regulation.

ULM plays at Baylor on Friday. Baylor is currently losing in the 2nd quarter to Sam Houston St.

EDIT: We may want to rename this thread in honor of the Sun Belt. WKU is up by 2 TDs in the 3rd quarter at Kentucky, North Texas is down by 7 in the 3rd at KState, FAU is down by 7 at Georgia in the 2nd, and they've been mostly competitive the first 3 weeks.

After watching our game I think Montana would give all those teams more than they want.

The I-A/I-AA gap is closing.

watched the first half and ULM was rolling. They also used a dual QB system with BOTH guys on the field at the same time, one right hander/one left hander. at least 2x's in succession one took the snap, handed off to the other, who rolled left or right (to his strong side) and threw down field to a receiver.

interesting but it worked. at least when I watched.
