As USC prepares to open its 2012 season with enormous expectations, the football program could possibly be staring at more off-the-field drama.http://sports.yahoo.com/news/more-ncaa- ... --nfl.html
According to the Los Angeles Times, an individual in the ongoing corruption scandal at the Los Angeles County assessor's office claims that he gave cash and perks worth thousands of dollars to two USC athletes while they were still in school. If the allegations prove to be true, those actions would violate NCAA rules. The governing body prohibits student-athletes from accepting benefits from anyone who is not an established family friend or "extra benefits" based on their athletic ability.
