WNBA attendance and TV ratings were up last year. TV ratings actually were better than MLS. That little experiment may finally start pulling its own weight instead of existing solely as a toy for the NBA.

And of course the ratings and attendance are up. They have been virtually nonexistent in previous years. They drew a measly 0.4 TV rating for game one of the WNBA Finals last year, and the WNBA Finals was on ESPN, not on some hard-to-find-if-you-even-have-it channel like Versus or whatever it's called now. Reruns of Family Guy on the Cartoon Network draw better ratings than that.
