I think I would have preferred the turf to be yellow. Black will be a nightmare. Although it is very sliming

Black colors get hotter in the sun, right?

Funny, I've always associated sliming with the color GREEN.

yeah, that looks like a nightmare to play on. Late summer games with the sun beating down on you, not to mention the scalding turf radiating heat upward. It's an incentive not to get tackled I guess.

I'm pretty I read somewhere that the NCAA outlawed the colorful turf thing...

More reason why the NCAA needs to ban these ridiculous turfs.

Maryland should be focusing on playing better football than trying to make their field look "better" and their uniforms to "look" better.

This ^^ Do you really think that there is any other reason for them changing to black turf than this? The fact that people are talking about it shows that its already having an effect

That's actually an internet legend. It's been talked about, but never actually banned.
