Surgery today then they hope to have him play in the Sweet 16 but doubtful. With only one more day, would he be able to play in the Elite 8? I don't think they need him against Ohio, but he would be vital against Kansas in my opinion. Even if he does play, how effective will that right hand be?

Kansas? I missed the memo where they get a free pass in their next game.

No, but I am predicting they beat NC State. Of course, if they play NC State they will need him then too. UNC only beat NC State by two in the ACC Tournament with Henson out of the game and Marshall is much more important to that team than Henson.

From watching Carolina three times up close at the ACC tournament ... Marshall is a devastating loss. If he can't go, I suppose Stilman White starts at the point, with Justin Watts getting some time too? Or perhaps they shuffle the lineup and have Barnes handle the ball more. I don't know. I don't think they have a lot of options behind Marshall. Either way, the offense looked awful when Marshall wasn't on the floor. No flow at all. The Heels are going to have a tough time getting past Ohio, which has a pretty good point guard itself in D.J. Cooper.

Yes, & with the backup PG, Dex, out for the season the responsibility will be by committee. White, Watts, Bullock, & maybe even Hairston have to pick up the slack. I don't think they'll have Barnes bring the ball up the court that much.

If Dex was still in the lineup, I'd feel much more comfortable. But, we'll see what happens.

And he will still have to have the wrist wrapped up quite extensively during games from what I am reading. He is still going to be quite limited with the right hand...
