Rokamortis from the CCU board wrote:
Coastal Carolina All-American tight end David Duran, who graduated from the University this past December, has been granted an extension of eligibility waiver by the Big South Conference and NCAA.
A first team preseason All-American heading into the 2011 season, Duran played sparingly for the Chanticleers as a fifth-year senior this past fall before ultimately having season-ending surgery on his shoulder. In four games this past season, he caught five passes for 75 yards. He needs just two more receptions to become the first tight end in Big South history to have 60 career catches. (Gardner-Webb’s Josh Miller owns the Big South record for career catches by a tight end with 59.)

Different circumstances but maybe NCAA will show same generosity to JB in hoops.

He played in 4 GAMES this year, and they are still allowing him a 6th year redshirt? Makes no sense to me, but then again, it's the NCAA. Maybe the beach chicken's billionaire coach greased some palms.
