Former Iowa running back Marcus Coker has enrolled at Stony Brook in one of the bigger transfers of the FCS offseason.

As a sophomore last season, Coker rushed for 1,384 yards to finish second to Heisman Trophy finalist Montee Ball of Wisconsin in the Big Ten in rushing. He also scored 15 touchdowns on 281 carries.

Coker was investigated for an alleged sexual assault, but not charged, in Iowa City last fall, according to a (New York) Newsday report. He played in five games after the alleged incident, but was suspended from the Insight Bowl by the university for a violation of team rules.

Eh. He really wasn't panning out for Maryland. He has a TON of potential but a low work ethic.

Wow! What a big get for the Seawolves. Still holding out that Coach Gill brings in a FBS transfer or two...

reading about Coker where he stated that he's looking forward to playing at SBU and "helping my teamates win their 4th straight Big South Championship".

Around the Big 10 Coker is considered a very bad kid. Nobody would touch him.

Personally I do not like A school from Long Island in Big South. I know how they got in, but someone failed 8th grade geography
