Well if it was a College I would say you can't beat the atmosphere at a Pioneer Girls basketball game!

But I just knew YOU would ignore the cathedral of college basketball located in Durham. But Kansas is a solid 2nd

HA. You mean this place?
Low attendance forces dook Athletics to sell student seats

Student attendance at men’s basketball games has fallen consistently over the last five years, even dropping after Duke won its fourth national championship in 2010. This season, approximately 650 undergraduates have attended each game, 150 fewer than during the 2008-09 season. As a result, Duke Athletics has begun to sell an increasing number of general admission tickets in the student section on a regular basis.

The Palestra is a better atmosphere than Cameron.

The foundation of a great college basketball atmosphere is the students, if students won't even fill 1,200 seats, no longer worthy of even being considered for the top spot. What kind of lame student body won't show up to watch a top 10 team?

And yes, Utah State is a fantastic venue. If they had the history of the bigger programs, it could easily be #1.

Interesting article. I had no idea Duke was having trouble filling the student section at Cameron.

Allen Fieldhouse is unquestionably the best I have been in. Gallagher-Iba used to be right there with them but like the Pit in Albuquerque it appears to have lost some of its luster.

I don't think they are the BEST, but Maryland is always crazy.

As a UNC fan, and someone who has attended dozens of games at the Dean Dome, I hate to agree with Sly.....went to Allen Fieldhouse against Missouri and that place was unreal.

I changed my vote. I'm going with Hawaii - Hilo. The atmosphere is clean and fresh with gentle ocean breezes. Dont know who sghows up for their games though!

It could be, but their students go way over the line of acceptable behavior. I was not a fan of Redick, but what they yelled at him was just asinine.

Track with me here, smooth. I said Kansas is the top. I'm not a KU fan, but that place is it.

And, you are right that when the Big 5 was at the Palestra, it was one of the top places. Currently it's not. That was more of a shot towards Purple. I expected him to get all riled up, but I guess he's being a bigger man...which is unusual for him.

Ha! I'd seen that article about Cameron but its still an amazing place to play. I was thinking back to the Big 5 days at the Palestra too.
I agree 100% about Maryland fans. They go waayyyyy over the line. At least in Morgantown we just throw things over the line!
I will always be the bigger man! I'll just spike my hair up!

Looks like we're starting Monday night's game with 2 Ft's and white's ball on the side.

I'm "barney fife-ing" it right now, but it'll be in the chamber by 7:30 Monday night.
