word on the street is that Kelly is going to Tampa!!

Don't see him running that spread and being as successful in the NFL. but that is a complete guess and he could end up being the next Lombardi. :dontgetit

I dont think Tampa is putting up what Nike was putting up....wonder if NCAA is coming down on Eugene. :?

Also, does this mean Chris Peterson leaves Boise for Eugene????? oh the possibilities :D

NCAA busts the Ducks soon, book it.

The Glazier boys in Tampa are taking a page straight out of the Culverhouse playbook by looking at the bottom line of the balance sheet and not caring at all about wins or losses. A shame too, considering what their father did to purge the losing tradition of the franchise. Their downward spiral from the Super Bowl title really started when Malcolm had his stroke and became unable to continue. Sad.

Kelly is not going to Tampa, he turned down the offer. BTW the spread offense will have as much success in the NFL as the run and shoot did.

Thank Goodness. That would have been worse than the Morris Hire!!! Hopefully he saw all the negative response from the fans...

They need to right the wrong and beg Gruden to come back... AND spend some of that money that they are required by the start of next year. I thought we were past the cheap owners?? We are so young and have SOME talent. Not as much as everyone says, but I agree we have a few pieces. But we need a lot of help.

Concerns -
QB - Consider me an outsider, but I'm not totally convinced Josh didn't have a fluke year 2 years ago. Seems to only play good when in the spread late in games and in hurry up. Maybe coaching, maybe is just that he over complicates game plan and then he just stops thinking and just plays when given the chance.

RB - I like Blount, but he needs to stay healthy. BUT, hard to tell how good he can be, because Morris would abandon the run early and he would never get the carries to get going. Could be a force of used properly.

WR - Man do we have the class of B receivers!!! We need an A receiver and some speed. We haven't had any speed since Gallaway left. Briscoe and Parker top WR's the last few weeks? What happened to Williams?

OL - I know this is considered a strength by many, but I don't see it. A good OL would open some holes and that just never happened. Josh spent a lot of time on his back as well. This is where i would love to see us spend some money and bring in some vets.

LB - Used to be our strength - NOT ANYMORE!!! It's like we got to big for our system - "We can just plug anyone there and be effective" NO. We need to keep our players here and get a lot more physical players to work.

CB - Love you Barber, but it's time to let it go. When you were relegated to covering the other teams TE and you couldn't even run with them - it's time... Talib is good and they better keep him and get him some counseling.

DL - Best part of our team. Young, explosive and not for all the big names. It's the no name guys that are good here... Now if we could cover the pass for more than 5 seconds - we would be good.

Going back on Not hiring Kelly - Come on Glazer and Dominik - do you really think you have the current pieces to run his offense anyways? Don't give me the recent Harbough success story - he preaches Defense and had a lot of good tools to work with. We need someone that will re-build this ship.

This is what...the second time you have been premature in your pronouncement dickens? You did what with the VA primary ballot discussion as well.

To be fair - it was published everywhere that he took the job and then came out that he turned it down. It's sports...it will happen again tomorrow. It's more about the discussion.

Not 100%...he made it sound like all that was left was the signing on the dotted line with the OP (although proto is right...it was widely reported that he was pretty much going to be the new coach and then word came in to the contrary)

So if the media got it wrong why are you mad at him? Same with the VA primary, the media falsely reported that as well.

Colin Cowherd had a good point this morning (aka he probably read it on Twitter)... his guess was Nike stepped in and asked what they had to do to keep Kelly at Oregon. Any chance Nike played a role in keeping him around?

I do not like Oregon, but I think Kelly is a good coach. Oregon is a media favorite, like USC, Okalhoma, Ohio State, Boise State among others. I hope Oregon stays semi good, so tha tthey can beat USC when needed, to knock the Trojans out of championship picture. Best thing about Oregon is the Duck's entry into stadium on motorcycle. That's something LU and Sparky should come up with.

First, I read it on ESPN before posting this so I guess that is just bad info on my part.

Second, The Virginia Primary was after hearing it from the dean of Liberty's law school. I should have stuck to my guns and not believed him because he is pretty much wrong on everything else.

Getting married?
