Just to be clear, the kicker for VT has only been charged with Breaking and Entering and he's not playing in the BOWL GAME? A game that means millions of dollars for VT?

Is that a Class 1 felony?

That was kicker #2 that missed curfew and sent home VIA Greyhound. I was speaking about kicker #1

my 2 favorite college teams squaring off. i adopted vt during my 3 years at liberty mostly because of that last year of vicks and have followed them since. i love beamer but i can't not root for the maize and blue.

that being said, vt dominates the first half, michigan makes it close in the 2nd but the hokies hold on by a fg.

Purple, doesn't Michigan have the same fight song tune as WVU? At least for tonight, this UVa guy is a Michigan fan. One of my former Honors students is in law school there now.

these announcers had money on VT in this one. its hilarious.that catch by coale was sick. even though the ball moved a bit and alot of it got the ground, i'd of been fine losing to that catch.

VT fan because I was in 4-H for many years and the school supported me through various activities. South Carolina fan because that's where my dad is from and I've grown up watching them. Duke fan at heart.

I'll admit that we got outplayed tonight but that call in OT was ridiculous. Coale obviously had control of the ball and it should have been a TD. That being said, Michigan played very good and it would appear that they're back.

too much ball on the ground and in that one replay it moved a bit. but it so could of gone either way. i'd of given it to him. what a catch.

I'm indifferent about Tech but that was a catch....I didnt think so at first but once I saw that elbow that sold me. What a freaking catch...shame they took it from him

Even if you saw something to indicate the ball might be moving, a call that could go either way is supposed to stand. You have to have indisputable evidence to overturn a call. I'd like to see the camera angle that the ref looked at. Unless he saw the ball touching the turf before that elbow did, it's a catch.

if the ball is moving its a no catch. that one replay from the middle of the endzone is the one that if you just watch that one, its not a catch. the ball just bounces in his hands. it looked like a catch from the back angle.

Tough catch to be overturned. I think they just felt bad because TheB1G only won 1 bowl game this cycle.

I must have missed that replay. Either way there isn't much point in me arguing any of this, the game is over. Time to look forward to Duke and LU basketball.

Tech shot themselves in the foot so many times it wasn't funny. Roughing the kicker, David Wilson running 20 yds backwards, faking it on 4th and 1 at the 50...that one call at the end was horrible, but Tech could've done plenty to have not been in that position to begin with.

I completely agree with that. I just really hate the way we lost. The good news is that LT is only going to get better and if Wilson sticks around another year, we'll be back in a BCS bowl.

I'm a Michigan fan and so glad they won, so I'm not upset about the replay call. But am I the only one who's pretty much had it with the overuse of replay in both college and the NFL? Goodness, I mean, soon all the officials are going to be huddled up in some skybox watching monitors instead of out on the field. The NFL is the worst, seriously, we have to review every single touchdown that's scored? It's just gone beyond ridiculous.

I actually love replay and will actually start watching MLB once they use it. I think it's good to get every single call right, even if it has to be reviewed. What I don't like is one getting overturned from replay that was right to begin with. It doesn't happen often but when it does, I get really aggravated. I watched some more of that replay this morning and still no way that wasn't a catch.

yeah i agree. there is already so few minutes of actual football during a 3 hr broadcast, whats another few minutes of them looking under the hood to get something right.

Phillipsburg High School(NJ) Marching Band was at the Sugar Bowl. They couldn't find a single band good enough within 1000 miles, eh?
