Does anyone know how much Grossman is getting paid to be this bad?

They're ahead 10-0 right now...

Yeah, but it's only because the Giants are somehow playing worse. Our receivers are playing really well right now. I love Gaffney. If we had a legitimate QB, we'd be a playoff team this year.

Grossman isn't the answer but he's playing much better lately than I've ever seen.

It didn't help that Hightower went out either. Now they lost Davis and still won!
Plus there are a lot of quality QBs coming out this year. Potentially.

Yeah, I like Hightower a lot. I do think Helu is going to a really good back and that will be a fun position battle next year. I'd love to get Matt Barkely next year.

I'm not a Redskins fan so it wouldn't matter to me. I've always thought Kellen Moore will do well in the NFL

I think he's a risk. Same deal as Case Keenum. Both put up nice numbers and a large amount of wins but they don't do against any good defenses.

Rex will be back next year and he should. He's not the long term answer but unless we somehow are able to trade for Peyton Manning ( if he becomes available that is, not likely). We will draft a QB next year and Rex has shown that he is a capable QB until the heir apparent is ready. He's very frustrating because he plays about 3 very solid quarters and always has 1 atrocious quarter that really hurts you.
They have done Ok this year considering they lost Lichensteiger (LG), Cooley and Hightower for the year. Trent Williams was suspended for 4 and missed 3 to injury, fred davis suspended for 4. Leonard Hankerson showed promise at WR before going out for the year. Also, a key stat that most skins fans have not picked up on is that we were 0 and 6 without Santana and 5 and 3 with him. We are a different offense with him, some of that can be blamed on Beck as well.
I actually hope the skins take a shutdown CB in the 1st rd then look for a steal like andy dalton with their 2nd round pick. If you really look at it CB play and the inability of landry and atogwe to stay healthy has killed us.

I mostly agreed with you up until your last paragraph. The secondary needs a corner but not to the point of drafting one. First, our defense is ranked 10th in the NFL and you can always find a corner in free agents. We have to draft a quarterback in the first round. Andy Dalton's and Tom Brady's are exceptions and you almost never find those in drafts. Not that first round busts are rare but I think we have to risk a first round bust for a franchise QB.

There's supposed to be a lot of good QBs in next year's draft. I'm sure some will slide into the 2nd round. Although if they redskins keep winning they may not slide that far.

Cj, if you break down the positions of need on the roster it would have to be
Qb, dynamic WR, OL depth, DL depth and CB.
If we were drafting luck i would agree, take him. But were going to be picking somewhere in the 6-12 range and i haven't seen enough from barkely RG3 or Landry to sell me on them. We have a solid LT and and that's the only OL position you draft that high so we wont look there. DL doesn't appear to be quite as strong in this draft and in the 3-4 teh DL is not worth a top 10 pick. I would say if you could get a dynamic Justin Blackmon i would consider that. I think we have nice depth at WR, we just don't have the one big time playmaker. Moss is our best but he isn't getting younger. The other issue is it generally takes WR's longer to develop and Shanny doesn't have forever to turn this team around.
So, you point out our D is ranked 10th. True, but if we had a true lock down corner we could be a top 5 defense that could completly shut downt he opposition. Bump Dhall to the #2 corner and Wilson is a GREAT # 3 corner. There will be some nice QB's available with our 2nd rd pick, i promise you. It's all about who's on the board though.

I would be surprised to see Blackmon drop to the Skins (wherever they fall in the first round). I think that if the Rams dont get the 1st pick (its a three horse race between them, the Colts and the Vikings), they will probably go after him as a compliment to Danario Alexander

At this point, I hope the Luck hype train continues at full speed. I want RGIII and hope he'll be there around pick #5.
