NL MVP Ryan Braun Tests Positive for PED

I must say I was a little upset by this report. I was really hoping baseball had turned the corner on PEDs. Having a newly crowned MVP testing positive is never good news.

I'm feeling the same way. I hoped that MLB had turned the table on the testing. I hope that there is some reasonable explanation -- Braun did take a second test and it came out clean -- but the realist inside me knows that it's probably not the case.

But if you were to rank my "disappointment that sports isn't as pure as I hoped" scale, I would say Braun would be #2 behind Pujols leaving for Anaheim.
