Who's your Heisman winner?

I would choose Trent Richardson, he's just been so dominant every time I've seen him play. If Luck wins it will be because of his cumulative reputation.
I'm glad to see that Montee Ball is at least a candidate. He's had a spectacular year and nobody knows it.

RG3 ... really it is tough to make an argument against him unless you go with Honey Badger.

The only time I watched RG3 this year was against TCU and UT. In both those games he looked like a Heisman winner.
Baylor as a whole looked like they've found a winning combo with the track/football guys.

Ding ding ding
Not only a great nickname but comes from a winning team (BCS Champs). Has had Heisman moments and is a game changer. A Desmond Howard type.
#2 Andrew Luck. The Mitt Romney of the Heisman race!

My vote would go to RGIII. He's had an incredible year and really carried Baylor on his back this year. It will probably go to Luck as the hype continues to surround him.

Those would be my person top 2 as well. Mathieu is a beast, but I really was impressed at how RG3 played the this season.

I would have to go with RG3 as well. I saw the TCU game and immediately thought that he was somebody who'd be heading to NYC at the end of the year. I think he really cemented himself with the win over Oklahoma. I thought his TD at the end of that game was a "Heisman moment"

Montee Ball because no one voted for him yet. And I like his name..."I'll take door number 2 Montee!"

Honey Badger really should win this but he won't.

THe reason Desmond Howard won was his kick returning exploits. For Honey Badger to have had a chance, he would have had to put up either mind blowing defensive numbers or mind blowing return numbers...he did neither

Doesn't matter who we would vote for - this is a race between Richardson and Luck. I'm guessing Richardson...

I hope you are right, but I don't think you are. Ball & Badger votes take away from Richardson. RG3 wins.

RGIII. He did the most with the least surrounding him. Baylor isn't anywhere near these other teams as far as overall talent goes.

Baylor having a game the last weekend of balloting I think helped his cause as well. 15/22 320 Yds and 2 TDs plus 2 more TDs on the ground. If Richardson and Luck had made their conference championship games I think they would have had a chance to cement their cases to the voters as well

I don't care if RGIII wins the heisman. I just don't want the Redskins to draft him. We need Matt Barkely, not RGIII.

Run first QB's work for a year and then suck. I've watched Barkely play about half of his games this season and he's very impressive. He has the type of zip you want with passes over the middle, he has a really nice long ball and throws a great fade. He's 6'2" 220 and a pocket QB. If it weren't for USC's violations, Barkely would be receiving alot more attention. He's completing 70% of his passes and not with excellent receivers. Honestly, with all of the attention that Luck is getting, I think Barkely may be better for a team that needs wins right away. After watching Campbell and McNabb, I'm done with scrambling quarterbacks. We need a quarterback who doesn't want to be a running back.

Not in the Shanahan/West Coast system, we don't. RGIII has the best mobility of the top QB prospects and throws the best deep ball of the bunch. Shanahan has made his career on mobile QBs that take deep shots when possible. Barkley is the kid who saves his INT's for the worst possible moments and tried his hardest to give away a huge lead at Oregon. He's the only one of the top half dozen or so QBs that scares me, but he's definitely got the skill to be good in the NFL.

If Shanahan drafts a run-first quarterback, I will picket in front of Fed-Ex for him to be fired. Those type of quarterbacks never work in the NFL. Vick is injured and horrible, Vince Young is horrible, Tebow is having success now but that will end next year, Tavaris Jackson is horrible. Run first quarterbacks work well in college football but the NFL is too fast and too strong to allow for it. You have to have a quarterback that does what a quarterback is supposed to do, throw the football.

Campbell was a statue, not a scrambling QB at all. It makes me wonder if you watched him at all if you threw his name out as a scrambling QB. It makes no sense to compare him to McNabb as they really couldn't be much more different stylistically. I hope it's just a coincidence that the QBs you mentioned are all black. RGIII is a pass first QB who can also run.
As for Barkley's receivers, Robert Woods is one of the top 5 WRs in the country, maybe the best other than Blackmon, and a guaranteed top 10 pick if he comes out after the 2012 season. Woods was the #2 WR prospect in the country in HS. There are 2 other WRs in the USC top 6 that were #1 WR prospects the years they committed. They've got a #6 WR prospect and a #17 WR prospect also among their top 6. You may want to stop now.
RGIII had a better QB rating, better completion %, better yards per attempt, and better yards per completion than Barkley despite not having anywhere near the WR talent to throw to.

Vick, Young, Jackson? Did any of them average over 30 pass attempts per game in college? No, they didn't. They weren't even close. RGIII has nothing in common with them other than skin color.

Then explain averaging 3 yards more per attempt and 3 yards more per completion than someone like Barkley. RGIII's biggest strength is the deep ball. If you could see past calling him a run first QB because he's black you'd have noticed that.

Wow? You're going to accuse me of racism on a sports message board? You're a jerk. You didn't bother to notice that I also listed Tebow. He's white the last time I checked.
Barkely has good COLLEGE receivers, my point is that he'll be even better when he's in the NFL. PAC12 receivers aren't the same as SEC or Big12 receivers, no matter how highly they were ranked in HS. Scouts and ESPN HS ranks mean almost nothing. VT almost always has the 4th or 5th best class in the ACC according to those guys and they almost always win the conference. ND, Miami, FSU and PSU almost always have top 25 good classes and look at how they're doing...
If RGIII's biggest strength is the deep ball (which it isn't), than I really hope the Redskins don't get him. Second of all, he's throwing against B12 defenses which are always a joke. I don't think I've ever watched a Big12 game where at least one team wasn't close to 40 points.
I'll go ahead and bet you good money that RGIII is benching five years from now. while Barkely is starting.

Are we talking about the same Matt Barkley at USC? The one who has been nothing but a disappointment playing in a down Pac 12?
If you have watched RG3 at all like I have the past few years, running is always the last thing on his mind. He ran more early in his career but fits Art Briles' system much better than Kevin Kolb or Case Keenum ever did.
