If youre posting this in order to send the board into psychobilly freakout mode, I think chances are slim that Coach Rocco takes any of those jobs

haha isn't Turner Gil the Kansas coach, i guess former now. Where is Charles Barkley to admit that he's an egghead now when he declared Chizik unfit to coach Auburn and that Turner Gil was the guy.

With Gil out at Kansas, that likely means that former LU coach Robert Wimberly is out at Kansas as well.

Gil had a crappy situation at Kansas. He's a decent coach who does things the right way. He'll bounce back.

That would be me. This is a great thread to drive all similar coaching discussions that will likely be popping up the next few days.

Would his high flying, pass-heavy offense work in the Pac-12?

Thank goodness. Whoever is willing to take the ESPN media hit will be VERY happy. Maryland was stupid for not hiring this guy.

Agreed. I thought we were going after him? WSU has had a history of good college quarterbacks. Plus it is sorta back water like TT.

Why wouldn't it? The Pac12 is a downgrade IMO from the old Big12.

That was my thinking BYD. The defensive backfields at the top of the Pac-12 are probably more capable of keeping up with the "Air Raid" style that Leach ran down in Lubbock.

If you all say so. I've never noticed the Pac10 being special in anything.

The Pac10, or Pac12, or whatever they are calling themselves now (tip of hat to Nick Saban) is "special" all right. So is the "Big" 12 (or is that 9?). Nebraska made a great move going to the B1G (or is that 12?).
