I have a slew of former co-workers and friends at Comcast in DC. They get a kick out of mentioning Liberty on their sportscasts because of all the LU junk I laid on them back in the day.
Cool concept since both sites are run by the same outfit.

They both have the worst design for reading threads. It's like they're stuck in 1999.

I agree completely. I think the site owners wrote the code and as a result seem to be handcuffed to it.

boards that started a long time ago really have a hard time switching to the obviously easier to follow format. It's really just people who get used to something and therefore think their way is better.

Do I detect a bit of biting sarcasm?

im happy that the game means something for a change. 2007 was the last time a spot in the ACC championship was at stake. No doubt the hokies are the class of the ACC and have won like 11 of the last 12 in this series i think but UVA has worked hard to get back into the 757, and there is definitely a new attitude. Of course VT fans think it will be a blow out and are already looking at the BCS which is insane...just typical Hokie arrogance. Keep overlooking...it will be a good game IMO.

Part one of why UVA will lose:
Part two of why VT wins by at least 20:

And I repeat...I don't wonder...I really just don't care. People can ignore me if they want. Btw, what's the point of having a VT/UVA thread if VT fans can't post smack?

I understand exactly how outsiders feel when we talk smack about Liberty Football. It's the same way I feel when Tech fans talk smack.
Call me when you win something (NC). Winning the ACC=BS of the BCS world. Hey but at least Tech always seems to win their conference. That's more than we can say. Although they always seem to struggle in those bowl games when it's not against the BCS non-scholy teams (BE).

This has nothing to do with how good VT is or how overrated the ACC is. I've said on here numerous times that VT and the ACC are very overrated. So, I agree with you. However, UVA really stands no chance.

Forget the hokie turd game, WVU and Pitt just played the best Backyard Brawl of all time.

I don't know about the best. It was painful to watch. Holders on does wear his emotions on his sleeve. I hope he hit the black jack tables last nite to relieve stress. But they gutted it out and the Dcame to play despite the dumb penalties. Which reminds me: how can a defensive person who just falls down commit a 'low block'?

VT up 7 and in scoring range again. UVA's defense already looks tired and Rocco is starting to look frustrated. This is starting to look like the VT/GT game.

UVA has had the ball in the red zone 3 times and not scored. That's the difference in the game.

Agreed but he hasn't had much help. Would love to see him with Thomas' weapons. Also who was Wartford throwing too?

Rocco made some good throws early on, but once they fell behind the Cavs had to go to the air almost exclusively and the Hokies were in his face every time. UVa's vaunted o-line looked pretty bad. Logan Thomas is the real deal. Looked very poised and made all the right decisions. I don't think they ought to be comparing him to Cam Newton though, at least not yet.

Watched this game with my grandparents. UVA is definitely better than they have been, London's a great coach and this game will be competitive again in the near future. For now though, the Hokies are still the dominant team in the ACC Coastal.

I really thought this was going to be close for 2 and 1/2 quarters and then VT would pull away. However, VT dominated this game from the first snap. UVA's defense looked terrible, their receivers need catching lessons and the o-line does everything but block and protect the quarterback. I didn't think Rocco looked anything better than average. He had some really nice throws and he does have really bad receivers, but he has to get better in the redzone. He completed almost 60% of his passes for over 200 yards against a really good VT secondary but UVA couldn't score. I think Rocco will get better with time but it's not going to matter if London doesn't find any better replacements for the rest of that offense. VT, on the other hand, is with out a doubt the best team in the ACC again. Once they figured out their identity and LT got some rhythm, they've been unstoppable. They'll get revenge against Clemson and get to a BCS bowl again. Fun game to watch despite the one-sided play.
