what a pre-season/mid-season.
if you're not keeping track, here's an update:
Phils: already an unreal rotation, we now aquire Pence for 2 nobody's and 2 "prospects" (thx Ed Wade). If someone else learns to hit and Dom Brown learns to catch we roll
Iggles: Nnamdi Asomugha, Rogers-Cromartie, Vince Young (eh....) and Babin (hmmm). If they get Plaxico heads will explode
this would be why no one cares about TX (among other reasons)

Ed Wade should still be on the Phils payroll. He has done more for Philly under the Astros employ than he did when he paid his taxes in Pennsylvania. He's one of the most hated men in Houston right now.
Nnamdi was obviously a huge signings. Having a great deal of familiarity with VY & Babin, I'm not not sure why they were included in this post.

notice they were "eh..." and "hmmm..."
and agreed on Wade. Which is why he's not here. Amazed anyone hired him.

On the opposite end of the spectrum the Bengals have set themselves back for about 3 years. A 4-12 team set themselves back. This past decade gave me a glimmer of hope but I'm at the point where there is 0 hope of putting out a decent team until Mike Brown dies and thus is no longer acting GM. See you guys in 15 years give or take.

Okay okay enough about bragging about being a Philly sports fan haha. It's not our fault that your fans actually care about winning!
I did hear rumors that the Phillies may be moving their AAA team from Lehigh Valley to someplace in Texas...

That sounds eerily like what most of my Cincy friends were saying 20 years ago with Mike's dad.

Someday Ed Wade will do more for the Astros than anyone else. Imagine when he gets his next GM gig and trades all his star players for Astros "prospects" without being on the Astros payroll.

Unless Al Davis suddenly buys the bankrupt Dodgers, I don't see any MLB owner stupid enough to ever give Wade a job ever again.

philly fans are the dumbest, neanderthalic fans in sports.

completely incorrect.
maybe the most over-involved, pessamistic and/or over-reactive but not the dumbest. Philly fans actually are very intelligent about what is going on- the issue may be the fact that we're likely to kill each other over it.
esp if you're a Dallas or NY fan. Pick out a headstone.

I typically find (btw I'm a Redskins fan) that Dallas Cowboys fans that are truly from Dallas are the nicest people. Whenever I go to Dallas and wear my Portis jersey just to get some looks, the people there are very nice. The further away from Dallas you get, the more ignorant and quite frankly stupid they get. (like most Cowboys fans in VA).
But maybe this is like every other team? Any thoughts?

Who throws snowballs at Santa? It's kinda the trump card of comparing a-hole fans.

I happen to be a VERY nice guy and I have never even been to to Texas (Hope to some day though). I also have been a Cowboys fan since I was about 6 or 7. I have even been friends with a few Redskins fans (against my better judgment of course).

Also have a good friend who is (gasp!!) an Eagles fan. He is really a nice guy too.

Two isolated incidents? I guess cheering a guy potentially having a broken neck is evidence of just how classy Philly fans really are. And yes, I know he was a Cowboy.

I'm loving it! The moves that the Phils and the Eagles have made are in the right direction but I don't know if the Eagles are the best team in the NFL or anything. I can't wait to find out though.
As for the Phillies, the pieces are all there now I believe. They don't have to crown us World Series Champs in August but I like our chances in Oct.
