I'm sure no one else is watching it, but I've enjoyed the three games I caught so far. France looked solid and Germany never looked like they were losing today.

My favorite part was North Korea's excuse to losing the game against the US
http://espn.go.com/espnw/news-opinion/6 ... ing-excuse
After his team fell to the United States 2-0 in its World Cup opener, North Korea's coach offered up one of the most original sports excuses of all time. Kim Kwang Min said it lost because several of his players were struck by lightning almost a month ago. It was the first anyone had heard of the incident, which Kim claimed took place on June 8 during training in Pyongyang.

not sure how many of you legitimately care, but the USA makes a remarkable comeback in stoppage time and beats Brazil 5-3 on PKs to advance to the semifinals today

Certainly one of the most memorable goals in US soccer history. Seconds left in stoppage time in extra time and a perfectly placed pass for the win. Excellent.

It was legitimately one of the best finishes of a game I have ever seen. Hats off to the US Women's team for making women soccer actually entertaining.

Wambach's goal today is probably on par with Landon Donovan's goal last summer as the top goals all time in US soccer history

ugh. That was painful to watch. The game should have been over in the first half. Wasted opportunity after wasted opportunity for the US side.

Yes we should have scored more goals, and never give them the gift of the first goal in front of our net. Our defense sucked!
