Im not surprised...I mean lets see...Boise State has blue turf and they are now annually a top 5 team...Eastern Washington switched to red turf and won the national championship...not saying that UCA is gonna end up 11-0 or anything but it certainly is an interesting rendering

We should make ours into an American flag. Red and white every 5 yards and blue end zones with Flames spelled out in white stars.

i thought the NCAA had outlawed this after Eastern Washington did it.... still looks like a cool rendering

Its a common myth... I thought so too until I did my research on it. The NCAA has no regulations regarding field color.

The NFL took preemptive action recently and prohibited NFL teams from going to any turf color but green. Perhaps aimed at the aqua-and-orange possibilities in Miami.

I'm not sure that the NCAA has ever interfered with playing surface aesthetics.

And for the record, traditionally speaking, stripes and solids have been able to compliment each other in the past, though more modern looks make stripes and stripes ok (see: http://www.ehow.com/way_5184985_shirt-s ... suit_.html). Just be sure to the patterns are different enough, and that, above all else, the colors work well together.

As for the color scheme, I am not a fan of UCA's colors, but at least it's not the nightmare that a maroon and orange striped field would be (and I say that as a VT fan).

Hmm, kid and pet friendly...I can definitely do that. I tend to be more conservative in my style, so you don't have to worry about anything extremely crazy.

Also, I HATE the one at E Washington LOVE the SMURF Turf and really like the alternating C. Ark turf. Not sure what we should do with ours if anything. Maybe a big picture of the REVEREND at mid field? I have ALWAYS thought we need to go stained glass window on the tower so we could copy Notre Dame but ours would be Touchdown Jerry!!! I'd even contribute!

I think this turf looks awesome.

Someone want to work on a pic of what that would look like?

With all due respect Medic, that artwork comes nowhere close to the gems you've posted. You would've at least gotten the alignment correct on the grid.

Maybe you need to take a class in Abstract Art.

The field doesn't look to bad, but purple?! I don't blame Central Arkansas, because they are trying to market themselves and grow their brand. It worked for Boise, and it's working for Eastern Washington so why not them?

Is it too early for a Delray Levin comment?

technically, if the 70's liberty was calling for their color scheme back, it would be green and gold
