This for all MLB talk for the year. I'll start the conversation by saying that I predict the Pirates will win the world series :D

At least it's a start, Pirates are 1-0. Only 161 to go.

Since we're dreaming here, I'll go with the O's.

I know CIder is happy. O's win 4-1 over the Rays. Guthrie has his mojo back. Is this the year I come back to baseball?

The Rays were ROBBED on a blatant interence call that was NOT called, but I'll still take the win. Vlad with one hit, Lee and Reynolds were held hitless, but the O's still found a way to win. :D

Good point. The middle of the lineup produced little -- but certainly will, so that's not going to be a problem -- but others came up with timely hits. Glad to see Roberts back and doing well. And Guthrie was sharp and in command. Tough break with Matusz being out, but will be interesting to see how Britton handles things. I really think this will be an exciting bunch to watch this year.

162 x 15 = 2430. Last time I checked it takes 2 teams to play a game.

O's sweep the Rays. Not happy about this at all, but I'm happy for you O's fans. Looks like the turnaround has finally happened.

Our starting pitching has given up exactly ONE run in 3 games, and that is with 2 rookie pitchers, one of whom threw a no hitter for 6 innings.

And none of our 4 new starting position players (Vlad, Lee, Reynolds, & Hardy) has yet to hit his first dinger. Our only homer was by Roberts, a 3-run HR by our leadoff hitter.

All I can say is I'm impressed. I'm just worried for us, it's back to the Devil Ray era.

Boston's pitching looked like crap while getting swept by the Rangers. Not the start I was hoping for.

Matusz added to the mix soon, and hopefully it's Arrieta's turn Monday. Some fine young starters! Not sold on the bullpen, though.

O's being 3 up on the Red Sox is strange, no matter how early it is.
