I'm setting here watching FIU play SE LA and obviously the main topic of discussion for the announcers is Wittles and the hit streak. I'm only watching because I don't want him to get a hit. Last year at the end of the season I really didn't care either way if he broke it or not but now after the rape charges and everything in the offseason I'm going to be really mad if he breaks the record.

He hasn't been found guilty of anything yet, and after the Duke lacrosse scandal you should have learned not to be so quick to judge. I personally don't care if he breaks the record, but lets not kill the kid before we know the facts.

That sucks for Wittles. If the season had been a few games longer last year when he was hot he probably would have got the hits. I guess given the circumstances this is the least of his problems.

Yeah, I'd say this is without a doubt the last thing he should be worried about. The announcers said last night that Wittles told them he has no problem sleeping at night because he knows he is innocent but only time will tell. I agree with you if FIU was able to win a few games in the regional he probably would have broken the record (I'm not sure but I believe he had 3 hits in the last game of the season).

You gotta like the fact that he tries to stay cool. If I had rape charges hanging over me I would be nervous even if I was innocent. Mistakes happen, and people are wrongly imprisoned. It has to weigh on him. For his sake I hope it is resolved soon.

Oh I would be nervous too. If he is innocent I'd like to know why is was in a situation where he could be accused of rape to begin with.

That is a great point. I don't know what time of day or night it allegedly occured, but it baffles me how people are out all night. Nothing good is happening after midnight. Now i'm young yet I always keep a old mans schedule so my prespective may be a bit skewed. Its 8:46 on a Saturday night, and I barely can stay awake, lol.

I traveled to Alaska this summer and the ball club I traveled with played against him 5 times. I can tell you from 1st hand experience the dude is a tool. He showed up for the first game and was talking about how he had just "done" a chick who had traveled up for some "fun", and then was expecting another girl to be waiting on him when the game was over. I later found out he had a third girl who basically traveled around with him the entire summer. So honestly, I would not be too terribly surprised if the allegations turn out to be true. I'm not passing judgement, but when you're drunk and you get around with so many girls, only bad things can come from that.

Not to mention he treated everyone else (players, coaches, and umpires) like the scum of the earth. He knew we all knew who he was, and he took advantage of that. SI also did a story on him while he was in Alaska.

I think we all kind of thought even if the allegations weren't true, how do you get yourself in that kind of situation where something like that could "allegedly" happen? It's like the Duke Lacrosse. If they didn't run the party like they did, than nobody could falsely accuse them. But ultimately we all just live different lives than most other colleges. I know I could never understand it.

Sin. It's enjoyable and fun to get caught up in it, but once your so enticed by it you don't realize what it's doing to you until it's too late to think or go back. Especially for someone who isn't saved. Why would they give a care in the world if they're known for getting around? (Rhetorical question)
