They are now down three starters. another one had a bad ACL injury the other night (hope he gets better) but yes this is the second guy to get suspended/kicked off. If he's found to have been ineligible all semester they could forfeit wins. and we could host the tourney. unlikely but possible.

I never would be the one to purposely wish harm on any team, but that would be sweet.

Although I bet those things like if he had been ineligible all year would takes years to uncover. That's what you see now days anyway.

I know i doubt they make that kind of ruling before the tourney

Even if they don't have to forfeit games, it wouldn't be surprising if they lost in the semi-finals without Holmes, Greenwood, and Holloway. If that were the case and we made it to the championship game, we'd host.

http://www.bigsouthsports.com/SportSele ... PSID=25348 if CCU is eliminated and we make the finals we would host the game (jbock had made a post to the contrart but he deleted it...this was to be in response to that)

Just looked it up before you posted that, and you were right, hence why I deleted the post

lol. Didn't it used to be that way that the finals were still held at the #1 seed?

I think it was that way but before that it was neutral site (the Vines hosted it a bunch of times once LU got in the conference under the neutral site format...the RCC hosted it too)

The BSC had a single-site (not necessarily neutral) 3 day tournament from it's inception through I believe 2001. It was hosted in neutral sites like Anderson SC and Roanoke as well as at Winthrop, LU, Ashville Civic Center and North Charleston Coliseum (which were home town but not home court for UNCA and CSU.) Since 02 the top 4 seeds have always hosted opening round games, with various different arrangements for the semis and finals. I'm pretty sure the current format started in 08.

The current format has been there since I got to Liberty in 06. If not 06 then definitely 07.

I posted this in another thread, but I'll post it here too.
If he's out for the tourney, we are the favorites. It would be a major disappointment to NOT win it. You have to capitalize on these things.

I think it's unlikely, but at least one source (TV-15 in Myrtle Beach) has said the possible repercussions could go as far as forfeiture of every game Holloway played in. That would mean CCU would finish last, and would not even be in the BSC tourney. It would also mean that our loss to VMI would have ended an undefeated conference season.

And we would be the 1 seed.
And the tourney would be at the Vines.
And we would play Radturd.

Here is a link to the Channel 15 report on Holloways suspension. It's surprisingly long, and doesn't really say much.

Actually, in 2003 it was a hybrid...the first round were at home sites, and then the semis and championship were held at Vines...I remember WU beating HPU in the first round in Rock Hill, before the infamous Kragel game in Lynchburg a few nights later.

Actually, Holloway is the 3rd beach chicken to be suspended. Willie Kirkland was ruled academically ineligible earlier in the year. They currently have only 7 scholarship players available.
