Frankly I don't see this being a legitimate deterrent to anyone stepping up. All it does is add more cash for the IOC, er, NCAA fat cats to play with at their own discretion.

I agree. If you are seriously contemplating a move up, and that is the ultimate goal you obviously have the funds to pay that type of fee. Maybe we'll get lucky and get a MAC invite soon.

Me too. I just don't see how one is worse than the others. None of them are great. None are "below" us either.

I agree. The key is just getting the foot in the door, and becoming established as a solid FBS program. It doesn't matter if we play Ohio, SMU, or LA Tech it's FBS football and thats good for me.

Selfishly I would love C-USA for obvious reasons. But I agree that any of the above sound great.
