It's under way and it's a heck of a game so far. Andy Dalton is the man, and TCU is proving they are legit. Anyone think that non-AQ's still shouldn't be given a chance? I know it's still the 1st QTR, but TCU is definitely outplaying Wisconsin.

TCU 14
Wisc 10

If you're still not watching this game or have missed the 2nd half so far... TCU has been the better team all night.

TCU 21
Wisc 13
11:02 4th QTR

I love watching programs get built from nothing into something. Boise, TCU, Utah, UConn are great examples. I can't wait for the day LU is at that level.

Brent commented twice in the post-game that TCU only has 9,000 students, and their tuition, room, & board is a "bargain" at only $41,000 a year, especially "if you want to go to a good football school."

$20,500 per semester isnt terrible...its not bargain basement but its not like they are asking for an arm and a leg

At $41,000 per year for tuition, room and board, it doesn't even crack the top 100 in the U.S..

In Texas where higher ed costs are typically among the lowest int he nation, that is actually on the steep side.

What amazes me is that the Frogs went from a low level WAC school and under Franchione & Patterson have been able to create something special in the shadow of some of the greatest football powers in the nation while doing so in a subpar conference. That's the glimmer of hope I see for Lu in the next 15-20 years if we can work our way into the FBS arena.

So when the BCS-boosters and anti-playoff crowd claims that 'the regular season is a playoff' and garbage like that, what I want to know is when did TCU get eliminated from this 'regular-season playoff'?

What a stupid way to decide a champion.

This was the first time I've ever been interested in the Rose Bowl, that I can recall....and it was only because of TCU. I don't think that outside of the Pac-10 & Big Ten fans, no one really cares who is in the Rose Bowl, since the inception of the Bowl Alliance/BCS.
