I thought the general consensus of G-Dub folks was that Patton would never be fired? Now it appears our old AD Chuck Burch will have another position to fill. Based on his history of hiring for LU coaches ...

I have no idea if RD was under consideration for the G-W job. He wasn't hired, and I'm sure Chuck knew he was available, so in the broadest sense.............. he passed. So far it looks like they got a good one.

I think Id be a better fit at G-W than Coach Karcher...(Oh great...as soon as HMO sees this Im sure my resume will be headed to Boiling Springs...)

GW if obviously a backup option if the Florida job doesn't go through.
Absolutely. Florida and Boiling Springs are pretty similar, right?

The name I am hearing from a source in Boiling Springs would be a home run for G-W if they can pull him away from the iconic school where he is now running the show. But it doesn't appear that Chuck is in any hurry to get this position closed.

Sly,

This has to be the understatement of the decade. Here we are - 32 days after your post telling us that GW is in no hurry to replace Coach P and we still don't know who the replacement is. My guess is it will be Coach Bob Sanders [Buffalo Bills Asst.] or Scott Wachenheim [UVA Asst.] but I have no inside scoop here. Hopefully we have an announcement today or tomorrow.

Go Runnin' Bulldogs!

Coach Wach being the last interviewed has him freshest in Chuck's mind. I wonder if Chuck has gotten to the point where he has gotten enough grief about hiring former LU coaches that it may play against Coach Wach.

FSU with breaking news! Glad to hear that it's an Ole Miss man. 8)
