I don't spend much time on espn.com these days and I was reminded why I do not a few minutes ago. The headlines from the "Worldwide Leader in Sports" looked more like the front cover of the National Enquirer sports edition. There was not one single headline relating to the competition of an actual sporting event.

-NCAA: Newton eligible; dad broke rule
-Source: Zero chance Gruden to coach Miami
-Ward rips NFL policy
-Cards' Anderson sorry for postgame tirade
-Lee met with Rangers' Ryan, Daniels in Ark.
-Report: Cavs hire firm to probe Lebron signing
-U.S. stresses diversity in '22 WC bid
-Source: Jeter, Yanks brass have 'good' talk
-Belichick says he has lot of respect for Ryan
-Trump offers 'advice' to Hurricanes: Hire Leach
-Feldman: Hot college coaches

That's pretty sad, and it's also what happens when you have virtually no competition in a market. I've pretty much stopped watching SportsCenter for the very same reason...there's too much entertainment news and not enough sports. Plus the fact that when they do talk about sports and show highlights, it's mostly the Miami Heat. They might as well just go ahead and call them the "Official team of ESPN".
