Wake sucks big time this year.

Yeah...Wake doesn't look too good this year, but as a Winthrop fan I'm encouraged by how well WU responded after an ugly loss in their last game, playing in their first true road game (though Wake didn't exactly have a huge home-court presences), and by how well the team played offensively. Robbie Dreher's return from suspension seemed to be a big boost...he had a huge game.

VCU tends to be good. Stetson beat Wake in their opener.

WEF, I admit I check out of men's hoops from July-Thanksgiving, but what's the deal with the suspensions? Is Dreher the only one? What for?

Charles Corbin is suspended for the whole fall semester...he won't be back until mid-December.
In the spring (May I think), a former WU basketball walk-on (Chad Dewitt) was arrested for marijuana possession in one of the WU dorms...a handful of other current/former players were also on the scene at the time of the arrest and mentioned in the police report, but Dewitt was the only one arrested. The players that were cited all went before a university review board and had to meet with the coaches, and Dreher and Corbin were the ones that got punished through suspensions...not sure exactly why they were singled out, though Corbin was suspended for 4 games to start out last season (the reason for that suspension has never been publicly disclosed), so I'm sure his extended suspension is due to having already been disciplined in the past.
Their absence last week really hurt as WU pretty much relied on a 6-man rotation vs. VCU and Hampton on back-to-back nights.

Certainly a nice win for the league, but as others have said, Wake is way, way down this year. The bottom of the ACC has the potential to be epically bad this year with Wake, UVa and BC all having major issues.

Wake is so bad, Bzddleklkelke was possibly the worst hire in all of CBB.
