I knew they would be worse this year with all they lost, but they appear to be just horrendously awful now. They have struggled to beat two of the worst teams in all of Division 3 from last season.

They only beat D3 school Emory & Henry by 3, a team that finished last in their conference, and won just four games all year, and was picked to finish last in the conference yet again. Their average margin of defeat was -13.7.

THen they follow it up with a nine-point defeat of D3 school Methodist University, a team that won just 3 games last year and was picked to finish next to last in their conference. I watched Methodist last year play against Lynchburg, and Lynchburg was taking their starters off the floor 10 minutes into the game because they were beating Methodist that bad. Methodist only played two newbies in the Radford game, so it's not like there was an influx of talent onto the squad this season. They were honestly the worst D3 team I have ever seen in seven years of watching D3 basketball and they were blown out in just about every game they lost, including losses of 32, 21, 21, 34 (Lynchburg game), 30 (Charleston), and 30. Their average scoring margin was -13.7

Poor Brad probably thought he would have been able to parlay the psuedo-success of the past 2 years into a better gig.

Apparently Belarusan art is not a good long term investment.

Radford better prepare for a LONG, LONG season. Guilford, picked to finish 5th in their conference, just steamrolled Methodist 77-53.

thanks for your concern guys but dont worry about us lol. I think were the 5th or 6th youngest team in college basketball, weve tempered our expectations and were ready for the bumpy ride. still excited for the year though, it will be fun to watch the guys progress. hopefully come conference season well be much improved.

Well, flamesbball isn't really a Flames Fan.

We don't win at your place very often, so you're still a team we're going to feel uneasy about until both games are over.

If Winthrop and Radford were the 2 worst teams with the worst RPI's in the nation, I STILL wouldn't feel 100% about us winning in their gyms.

All those losses at RU over the years don't mean much to a bunch of 18-20 year old kids. We've won there the last 2 years, which means most of the guys on this LU team have never lost a game at Dedmon.

I know, I'm not saying it affects the kids at all. it does affect me.

I've been in that gym and I've seen us play like the better team and lose, and play terrible and lose. So I'll forever have a negative impression (and a broken bleacher or two left there).
