How bad was Wade Phillips?

It's only halftime, but Dallas is leading the Giants (the team a lot of people think was playing better than anyone in the NFL) 19-6. They look like a different team.

Honeymoon phase if you ask me. Look at the O's. They had one of the best records in baseball after the All-Star break but they were by no means one of the best teams.

I'd love to see a stat of teams that replace a coach mid-season and their winning % the game after. I bet its really really high. I could be wrong but the emotion generally should be enough.

I'm not trying to take away from their win b/c it was big and even bigger with Romeo out

Ha good point. I think the % would be far lower in college then in pro's....in the pro's you learn to separate the emotion from the game and chalk it up to business but I think in college it is harder on the kids...maybe why you dont see nearly as many coaching moves during the season.

Or was Garrett sandbagging? Pretty ironic that now that he is named the head coach the playbook gets opened?

i think its more indicitive of the "do you like your new stadium? do you like your training facility? do you like your lockerroom? play you ask off or you are fired" aura that jj implimented last week. the offense didn't look like anything different than they have been. the plays just fell in place for them. the giants offense blew it themselves. the one taken tot he house was on nicks. that fumble by manning was superretardo....

they do have alot of talent on that team. sometimes a little threatening and a little shakeup can jumpstart talent.

Kitna is a decent backup but he's good for a minimum of 2 bonehead turnovers per game. That can kill you. He played well yesterday though.

I agree Rubber. very talented team - I'm sure there will be many good coaches going after this one. Gruden would be an excellent choice in my opinion.

The Cowboys are a good team with a bad o-line. They haven't been able to run the ball all year (including last night), and you can't win like that with their schedule. The Giants didn't play good yesterday, and the Cowboys finally opened their eyes and have made Dez Bryant and his giant Mickey Mouse hands their #1 option.

I would still like to be able to watch them implode a little more though.
