I vaugely follow Uconn football. I hate I-A football or whatever it's called now. It's a complete joke. I pay attention strictly for NFL draft purposes.

I "follow" Texas, Texas A&M, Houston, Rice, Texas Southern, Prairire View A&M and Sam Houston State.
I have an interest in the success of Texas that has replaced my childhood fave Ohio State. Hey, I married a LOnghorn and I know many of the UT coaches and quite a few of the players.

This is the time of year where we follow football, cheer them on, but count down to basketball season.

That is true but in the same sense I went to a Duke presser today and Coach Roof sounded optimistic about this year....I aint saying we're going to a bowl game, but we will win more than 1 game like last year.

Carolina may get 4 or 5, it depends on the quarterback. Carolina never seems to play an easy nonconference schedule unlike some team in the Triangle that wears red.

I follow UVA (my sister graduated from there in 2000) and Va Tech (Tech was actually my top college choice for a while) although I have become a bit of a Notre Dame fan of late (like last 3-5 years)

I follow the LSU, Tennessee, Auburn, and Alabama in that order on the 1A level. On the 1AA I follow McNeese State when LU is out of the playoff picture.

Since this subject was broached, I have had discussions with others from time to time about the following subject (which is related to this thread):
What is your opinion when you have graduated with degrees from multiple colleges, which team do you pull for in athletic events (or did you choose your graduate schools wisely by picking them in different conferences so as to only face a possible predicament in post season championships?)
Do you cheer for:
1. Your first alma mater over all else?
2. Your most recent alma mater?
3. Whichever school is in the better division, conference?
4. Whichever school is doing better at that particular point?
5. Which one do you cheer for in the event that they face each other (or do you go with the
modified half-sewn jersey to straddle the line?)
6. When it comes to memorabilia on your auto/house/person, do you sport a combination (mix
and match) or the most prestigious &/or athletically prodigious alma mater?
Add any other scenarios I may have missed.

The only time any of this would ever matter is in the case of number 5, when they play each other. In which case I hope everybody here would pull for LU. I didn't go to U of C but I grew up watching all 28+ games per season so it's hard to just switch all of the sudden, but if they ever happened to play, I'd be right behind Dunton. As for #6, I've recently started a shift over to an LU based collection. I think this happened once I graduated. My car and truck have LU stuff. Really I only have Uconn clothes now.
