New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner died this morning of a massive heart attack in Florida, the Associated Press and New York Daily News are reporting, citing sources close to the team.

Strangely enough, one of my favorite people in all of sports. He visited with my grandfather I believe quite a few years ago when his daughter was at Sweet Brier.
