Cavaliers lose five players

Mike London’s rebuilding job just got a little tougher.

The first-year coach at Virginia announced that a group of players, including a pair of wide receivers, are no longer with the program.

In all, Virginia’s roster does not include five players for various reasons.

The most notable departure, from a local angle, is former Orange County High School quarterback Quintin Hunter, who was the All-Central Virginia offensive player of the year in 2008. Hunter had bounced back and forth from quarterback to wide receiver twice in his short stint with the Cavaliers, and left the team of his own accord.

Virginia, which went 3-9 last year, will also be without wide receiver Javaris Brown, cornerback Javanti Sparrow, offensive lineman Lamar Milstead and defensive end Tory Allen-Ford...
Allen-Ford and Brown, however, will transfer elsewhere.

Let the speculation begin...
