Jeff Taylor Jr was just signed to the Reds. Great opportunity for him to show off his talents. He's well deserving as well as a heck of a ball player.

Here's a picture after it happened. As you could guess he was very emotional and thrilled. 6am flight tomorrow to AZ. So happy for him. For those of you that knew Fumble, this was his biggest dream for his son...and it came true.

Awesome news.. JT Jr. always had his baseball gear nearby even during UNCA basketball camps each summer- Jeff would be very proud!!

Fumble is dancing in the streets...of GOLD! And Doc is telling him that he also went to college at LC before he transferred to Baptist Bible College, Springfield. And there is probably a high five or a bear hug to follow.

Jeff got his first pro hit last night, a two-run homer as the AZL Reds beat the AZL Indians 8-5.

And, according to his mom, it was an inside-the-park dinger:

But you, of all people, should understand what a HUGE step it is from playing D3 to playing professional baseball.

His shoulder still isnt quite right either which has kept his AB's down. I'm not worried in the least bit yet. I'll let you know when it's time to panic.

It is an instructional league designed to help make adjustments to players to fit into organizational plans. You can't judge someone making adjustments vs. the way a High-A ball player is hitting.
