14K's in his first appearance. Of course, it was against the Pirates, but who cares?
One of the last K's was on a 91mph change. Really? That's not fair.

My brother works just outside of D.C. and went to this game. He said that the SOLD OUT Nationals stadium was on it's feet as all 40,000+ fans cheered when there were two outs in the 7th. SBurg continued to K the last guy, and my brother said the fans were going to crazy you would have thought the Nats just won the World Series. This kid has brought a lot of excitement to the Washington area, that is for darn sure.... O and my brother said he definitely keeping/framing his ticket. Heck of an outing ---- don't care who the opponent is.

I was at Sunday's game, and the program they passed out had his baseball card in it: that's a keeper!

YEs big times for the DC sports scene. Got another apparently legit guy with the #1 pick in the MLB draft and will be getting John Wall with the #1 pick in the NBA draft. NFL team just needs to show some life and they will be having it sorta good up there.

There was one strike out where he touched 103 on a fastball and then the very next pitch struck the guy out on an 83mph curve. That's just sick.

I was driving back from Amherst after one of my broadcasts and I heard his line and my first thought was "If he keeps pitching like he did tonight for the next few years...he could enter into rareified air as it relates to dominant pitchers..." We could be looking at a Denny McLain, Bob Gibson, or even Sandy Koufax type career from him (course that depends on how the Nats use him going forward...they have his pitch count and innings count very tightly monitored)

You haven't even mentioned the best pitcher in history, or arguably #2 or #3.

My favorite pitch was he 91 mph changeup for one of his strikeouts. Greg Maddux probably got chills!

I will forever regret not going to this game. It was something special for sure. I talked to a few people at the game...they said it was nothing short of electric

The Yankees are just hoping the Nats correctly groom him to be their ace of the future.
