LOVELAND - The Colorado Ice is full of players and coaches who cannot put their football dreams on ice. The Indoor Football League offers the team members a chance to stay in a game they all refer to as a "fraternity."

"It's an opportunity to play this great game again," said Mike Godsil, an offensive lineman, who played at Liberty University before serving as a graduate assistant coach last year. "Hopefully, I prove enough through the way I play and the leadership that I exhibit to get a shot at that next level."

Godsil, who moved with his pregnant wife to Colorado to follow his dream, wants to end up where former University of Colorado football great Bobby Purify once played: in the NFL.

It has been far too long, madmat. We miss you around here.

And congrats to your son. We have several threads on here tracking his recent movements.

I apologize for my absence and I miss the fellowship of this board. Much has happened since Mike's graduation, including the title of grandfather to Mike and Nikki's daughter, Kaylee, born May 2, 2010. I do want to say that the Liberty Football staff have been an awesome support to Mike and his family, long after his playing days in Lynchburg were over. A true indication of what makes these men and this program the best choice for where a young man should play college football. I look forward to a 2010 playoff game between the Flames and the Tribe.

I would suggest there is a strong possibility it could happen. The Tribe are loaded this fall.
