That is the high school profiled in the original book by Bissinger called "Friday Night Lights" ... not the fictionalized Dillon HS of the TV show. They are known to Texas football fans as Mojo.
The AD once was a defensive coordinator for the Texas Longhorns.
Suffice it to say this case is far from isolated nationwide.

He was living out the dream of every old hag across the US. I'd love to go back and play HS basketball again at 25.
That is, if I didn't have to do the whole school thing again.

When I was 21, after 3 years of playing street ball in Chattanooga, I went home to WV for a summer and played in a rec league that included our local high school team. Dropping 21 against them was one of the highlights of my college years.
