That's what Wilbon was trying to say on PTI last night but Reali said he was crazy and he usually is all over random factoids like that.
You wouldn't think it would be that hard for the catcher to just tag him if he was ready for it but obviously the catcher was as shocked as everyone else.

The catcher looked like he was bracing for a collision and got caught where he could not raise up until it was too late. If the catcher was prepared, the graceful leap would have turned into a body slam.

The catcher is bracing for impact so I'm sure it would be tough to make the tag high when your gearing up low.
I saw PTI....seriously? "I dont know if it's legal" Really? Come on Wilbon your smarter than that. Whats wrong with it? Did he jump to high? That's like someone saying the homerun didnt count because it went to high.
