Obviously, the Big South championship game is on ESPN2 today at 4pm.
BJ Jenkins and Murray St takes on Morehead St at 8pm today on ESPN2 in the OVC championship game.
There's another conference championship at 6pm on ESPN2 today as well.
Alot of other mid-major conference tournaments going on this weekend. The CAA quarters are being played today and 5 of the 7 teams remaining are from VA - ODU, VCU, GMU, W&M, and JMU.

Yeah..that championship at 6:00 is the A-Sun. The A-Sun this season had 4 teams tie for first place (including soon-to-be big South member Campbell), and none of them made it to the finals. It's #5 ETSU vs. #6 Mercer...The tourney has been in Macon the whole time, so Mercer has taken advantage of playing on their home court.

Also, Cornell clinched the Ivy Championship last night to become the first official entry into the bracket.

BJ Jenkins and Murray State won the OVC last night.
ETSU represents the A-Sun.
Four tickets punches so far:
Cornell, Winthrop, ETSU, Murray State
Duke, Maryland, VT, and I think WF have byes in the first round of the ACC tourney.
CAA is underway in Richmond.

And the Tribe joins Northwestern, Army, The Citadel and St. Francis (NY) as being one of only 5 teams to have been D-I since it was established and never made the tournament. The 5 are currently 0-314 at trying to make the tournament, with Northwestern likely to make it 0-315.

For those of you interested in ACC tournament coverage, Nathan Warters and I will be down in Greensboro with blanket coverage, and we'll be live blogging and tweeting the heck out of the first two days of the tourney. I'll shift over to High Point Saturday for the Big South women's semis. Keep checking out the blog (you can reach Nathan's from the same site, which is in my tagline) throughout the day Thursday and Friday for your ACC fix.

The Big Sky championship last night was one of the best games I've seen this year.
Montana, down 20 at the half....then Anthony Johnson scores 34 in the second half, giving him 42 pts & a new championship record. The shots he hit down the stretch were clutch. I have no idea how he even got the last shot off for the game winner.

Plus, they beat Weber State....a team I have an issue with any way that goes back to 1999.

Doug gottlieb on Sportscenter said exactly how he got it off: "The Utah Jazz still thinks that's a foul!" He's right, on both counts.

Evan Turner just hit a 40 footer to win over MIchigan in Indianapolis...saw the replay...that was nuts...and so many defensive lapses by UM in that play...

2.2 seconds left. Why no one on the ball, and why play a ZONE?! Coach Beilein, do you really not believe enough in your ability to not foul in m-t-m? Furthermore, the lack of the man on the inbound passer allows the top player in the nation to catch the ball w/ up-floor momentum, and the zone with half-court pick-up allows him to go to his strong hand (right).
SO, SO poor, imo.

Regardless of the specific defenses, or lack thereof in this case, any defense that allows a potential national player of the year to get a shot in rhythm is unacceptable. That was basically just a long, open jump shot for Turner.
