watched the whole thing...just knew with how many great opportunities the canadians were getting it was just a matter of time one was going to fall in during that overtime...great game though

It's just as well that Canada won that game. No one in the US will even remember what hockey is tomorrow morning regardless of the medal color. Canadians, on the other hand, would have been inconsolable. Can you imagine the stress that would have put on the mental health professionals in their socialist health care system? We would have had to do telethons to support them.

HAHAHA 01 that was good. i would have gladly held a telethon for the canucks. I disagree with the whole people will forget hockey tomorrow. this was the best thing that could have happened to hockey in the USA. I think the NHL needed this.

Most Americans won't even consider hockey again until the conference finals of the playoffs, and even that's a stretch.

yeah sorry, but no. they say this all the time about every other international sport during the olympics.

i think the nhl is on a upslope personally but its not because of the olympic hockey. the hockey fan will continue to watch just as much hockey as before and the olympic fan will go back to caring about the bachelor and dancing with the stars next week not giving hocky's olympic athletes or any olympic athletes for that matter another thought unless they smoke a bong at a frat party.
