U-Conn. knocks off No. 1 Texas
Senior Jerome Dyson scored a career-high 32 points and Connecticut overcame a 10-point second-half deficit to upset top-ranked Texas, 88-74, on Saturday in Storrs, Conn.
It was the Longhorns' second consecutive loss after winning their first 17 games.
Considering the loss earlier in the week, the lustre on UT's ranking was already lacking. What shocked me was that UConn fans stormed the court even though K-State fans acted like beating a #1 was old hat. Anybody else find that amusing?

If I'm not mistaken, the K-State "non-storming" was orchestrated/preplanned as a statement that they consider themselves to be on a par with programs like Texas, so it was no big deal to beat them. They are having a really good year, but I wonder if they have lost some of that swagger after getting knocked off by OK-State. Perhaps they should have "taken the moment" when they had the opportunity.

I'm not a fan of uncalled for court rushing but college students only get 4 years to do it and if they don't do it when you beat the #1 team in the country, when are they? Plus Uconn generally has a very sit on their hands type of crowd and that place was rocking on Saturday. I'll take the trade off of a semi-embarrassing court rushing for a rowdy crowd any day.
