Whites-Only Hoops League!?!

At first I thought this was a satire but it didn't come from the Onion ...

The All-American Basketball Alliance announced in a news release Sunday evening that it intends to start its inaugural season in June and hopes Augusta will be one of 12 cities with a team.
"Only players that are natural born United States citizens with both parents of Caucasian race are eligible to play in the league," the statement said.

It makes logical sense.... white people aren't good enough to play in the NBA.... So we have to feel good about ourselves being bad bball players.

Seriously. Spokane, WA and Durham, NC should have teams in this league, and use Gonzaga and Duke, respectively, as feeder programs. Adam Morrison would dominate the league on the Spokane team. Put JJ on the Durham team. Stockton could coach the Spokane Team, unless he's the commish.

Good analysis, but I don't think Adam Morrison would fit the qualifications though. Isn't he partly hispanic? Or does he just go for that look?

hmmm. This whole idea is ignorant and this commisssioner has to to be a bit racist by the statement above. all "players of color" do not play street ball. and atrain im sure gays are allowed because im sure there are plenty who have not come out of the closet.

That's funny. I didn't even read the article and I called the "fundamentals" thing. It's the go-to argument for the unathletic.

Please don't insult my people like that. Just because he is now an embarrassment to Caucasians does not mean you can pass him off to any other race of your choice.

As long as he doesn't go into the league as KO...I think KO may play a little too street-ball style for that league.

I wonder what percentage "other" you could be and still get in. I'm something in the neighborhood of 1/32 African American. Am I still eligible?
