CBS-6 Sports has learned that USC backup quarterback Aaron Corp has been granted his release with the Trojans and was seen touring the UR campus last weekend.

He is finalizing his application process and barring any unforseen circumstance, Corp will return to campus this weekend and start the Spring Semester on Monday.

Corp came into the season as the Trojans' starting quarterback before injuring his knee on the third day of camp. That allowed true freshman Matt Barkley to become the starter.

I would have been surprised if at least 1 of the USC QBs had not transferred. Thought it would be Mustain though.

You realize that UR probably won't be in the "first round", right? There will be 20 teams, and since they're going to be really good, they'll have a bye.

We will probably get a home game if we're 10-1 and win the BSC. We'll travel if we're 9-2, but to a MEAC team or something. Which means, if we win, then we'd probably go to UR.

I think at 9-2 we could host the 5th CAA team.

Which wouldn't be an Aaron Corp led UR team.
