wow, I kinda wondered what your thoughts on UVA basketball would be. I thought maybe you'd just ignore them. My guess is they'll have a rough first few years until they get offensively challenged lock down defenders in the program. And by then their new coach would be cemented in power as nobody else could do anything with the stiffs that he'll recruit outside of that system.

Where is it being played? USF might not be world beaters but it's a very tough place to play.

As a UVa alum, I was a huge Cavs fan in both football and basketball, but since McKay is there, the basketball team is dead to me. (Once he leaves, I'll be a fan again).

The key says "Big East," so I'm guessing the game isn't in Charlottesville.

you guys should get over mc kay. he left its over...move on. i will always pull for the hoos and tony bennett will get his system going and will be successful, but for now they will struggle. mc kay looked ucomfortable onthe bench friday night against longwood and certainly looked that way tonight so all the haters will be happy. am i pleased the way he left?? absolutely not, but LU basketball is in much better hands now.

If it was 3 or 4 years ago it would be more difficult for me, but I'm far enough removed from my serious days of being a huge UVA fan to hope they fall on their face. It doesn't make my dad happy though.

Ive followed UVA since my oldest sister was a student there (graduated in 2000) and when Coach McKay went there, my feelings were the same as smoothie. Do I like how he left...absolutely not. Your word and reputation are (or should be at least) the most important things you have. Does that mean I want to see UVA do poorly? Of course not. I would never wish ill on anyone even if they stole my girlfriend, married her and took my dog.

to each is own, but it really makes no sense to hate UVA because mckay is there. ritchie made his choice and i think he is also regretting his choice. he panicked and left. keep in mind seth curry left on his own. mckay brought in some good players that layer will improve. mc kay gave LU a few good years and gave LU fans hope. did he let us down? yes he did, but he did what he felt was best for him and his family. i will never get upset with someone over that. again, did i like the way he did it no.i was very mad when it all went down. if he left the cupboard bare then i might be upset, but he didn't. oh well im happy we have dale layer and im happy UVA has tony bennett. i could reaaly care less that mc kay is on the bench there.

McKay left the LU hoops program in better shape than it was when he got there. Get over and stop acting like a bunch of vindictive children.

Secondly, if the program is in better shape now than when McKay left, why are you people acting like you are since McKay left? Use a little common sense once in a while instead of acting immature just because you can't get over your obsession with McKay. You should be grateful he left if the program is truly in better shape with Layer heading it instead of McKay.

I think Tony Bennett will be very successful. He just has to rebuild what Leitao destroyed.
