He comes in. Everybody gets excited and stands up. The ball is snapped. He runs for 2 yards. He trots off. 2 or 3 times a game.

The eagles won't commit enough to him, so he really seems like a liability. I hate all of these teams doing their own version of the Wildcat like once every 2 games and thinking it'll be effective. It's really just a waste of a play.

The Title of this thread is misleading. Vick isn't terrible. The coaching of the Eagles is terrible. They aren't using vick to his full potential and thats why he's going to be in either a bills or rams uniform next year. They are too scared to commit to him playing.

I could get on board with that. I mean really, you could insert any player in the NFL into what they insert Vick for and get the same production. They really just stick him out there and expect him to produce something on his own. And I don't think any player can do that.

Exactly. He won't be productive unless they loosen the reigns a little and give him more playing time. any athlete with 4.3 speed and decent agility could go in there and run the ball up the middle. but thats a waste of talent.

You think Vick runs a 4.3 now? I highly doubt it.

He may not run a 4.3 but let's not pretend he's Kerry Collins out there.

I don't see how you guys don't get this....Andy Reid wanted him for goal line situations since we sucked on 3rd and short last year. Well with Jackson averaging over 20 yards a catch we haven't had much need yet.

Why showcase him early against KC, TB or Oak, that would be stupid when its division games that was the reason we got him.

I mean take a look at the last 3 games and how much redzone offense we have run (and the Giant game was a joke, we humiliated them and Vick wasn't needed)

Also the Eagles are protecting there investment as Dungy said last night he wouldn't be suprised if Vick gets traded to the Bills( Dungy said there was talk with them before he went to the Eagles). The Eagles are going to pay this guy almost nothing and hopefully get some sweet picks out of it or a good player in the end. I doubt Vick is with them next year at a 5 million dollar price tag.
