How does that look in HD?

I'm not watching in HD but it looks to me as though they ditched the purple. Did they change school colors? There's something you don't see happen all that often.

sometimes it does kind of look like it has a little purple in it. Maybe they're gradually moving to a more blue color and hope that nobody notices.

ECU is close to the same purple I had in high school. It always shows up in video and pictures as closer to blue.

Edit: It's the same reason I thought Clemson's colors were orange and blue until I was in high school.

They've actually been running a nice campaign around North Carolina using that logo. There's a big billboard with it on 15-501 North just before you get to Chapel Hill city limits, in fact. I kinda like the bravado they're showing.

There's one on 52 or 40 near 5th Street in Winston.
